LUMEN
Terms of service
Updated October 8, 2026. Lumen is operated by Cody Tuma. Questions: codytuma@gmail.com.
Lumen’s public release is being prepared. Public downloads and subscription checkout are not yet available. The pricing below describes the planned public service.
Using Lumen
Use Lumen only with Google accounts you own or are authorized to access. You are responsible for messages you send and actions you approve. Do not use Lumen for spam, phishing, harassment, unlawful activity or attempts to bypass Google’s policies or service protections.
Free and Plus
Free includes the first 100 email sends per calendar month, shared across all Gmail accounts connected to your Lumen plan. The monthly allowance resets at midnight UTC on the first day of the month. A message sent to multiple recipients is one send. Replies, forwarded messages and email-based unsubscribe requests count as sends. Drafts, canceled sends and messages still waiting in the undo window do not count. Requests definitively rejected by Google release their send allowance; a delivery with an uncertain result may remain counted to avoid duplicate sends.
Plus is $4.99 USD per month and removes Lumen’s send allowance. Google’s own limits and anti-abuse rules continue to apply. Plus does not include third-party cloud AI usage fees. Any applicable tax is shown at checkout.
Subscription renewal and cancellation
A paid subscription renews monthly until canceled. Use Settings → Plan → Manage subscription to cancel. Cancellation stops future renewal; access continues through the paid period unless the payment is reversed. Contact support about billing issues or refund requests. Rights required by applicable law are unaffected.
Complimentary codes
A gift code grants free Plus access for the duration specified by the code issuer. Codes may have redemption deadlines, usage limits and account restrictions. Gift access requires no payment card, is not redeemable for cash, and does not automatically become a paid subscription. Redeeming a gift code does not stop an existing paid subscription. Cancel that subscription separately if you want to stop charges.
Scheduling and availability
Lumen must be running to process scheduled sends and reminders. If closed, due items are processed when you reopen it. An internet connection is needed to sync mail and, in the public release, check plan status and send allowances. Email delivery and service availability depend on Google and other providers.
AI and accuracy
AI suggestions can be inaccurate. Review drafts, proposed actions, recipients and attachments before sending or approving an action. Lumen does not automatically send an assistant’s draft without your approval.
Privacy and changes
The privacy policy describes how data is handled. Features may change as the product develops. Material pricing or subscription changes will be disclosed before they take effect for your subscription.
Responsibility
Lumen is provided as available, subject to any warranties and consumer rights required by law. To the extent permitted by law, Lumen is not responsible for losses caused by third-party outages, inaccurate AI suggestions, or actions you approve. These terms do not limit liability or rights that cannot legally be limited.
